Winston Fiore’s 5,000 mile trek across SE Asia
Winston Fiore is a former US Marine. His SmileTrek initiative, founded in 2011, is a 5,000 mile trek through Southeast Asia in an effort to raise funds for facial-reconstructive surgeries in the developing world, particularly for children with cleft lips and palates.
A remarkable journey - using Google Maps as a guide

Arcade caught up with Fiore in Palawan in the Philippines to document his story, shooting on location over three days from Puerto Princesa through to Sabang. The result is a film that captures the essence of Fiore’s mission and how Google Maps has helped him achieve it.
