One lucky fish
Turning to Google Search again, he found that fish are considered a lucky talisman to the indigenous people. By remoulding the iron pieces into the shape of a fish it gained immediate acceptance from the local women, who were happy to include it into their cooking pots. Arcade captured the story as a Google Search Story and shot the film in the Lvea Aem District on the outskirts of Phnom Penh. Over four days the team were able to follow Chris and tell the story of the iron fish.
The search to help save lives
The women in rural Cambodia were iron deficient, and at high risk of developing anemia. Chris discovered via Google Search that it could be cured by the simple inclusion of a piece of cast iron placed in their cooking pots. But local women were resistant, believing that the iron would taint their food.
